Daily Inspiration: Find Your Mantra
I just wanted to start off this post by saying: don't be so hard on yourself. This is as much a reminder for myself as it is for other people in my situation.
I felt I was never quite "ready" to share my ideas, to make content, to write good posts. I'm really trying to get passed the mindset that I have to be completely "ready" to start something. I think the root of it all is the fear of failure. But really, who doesn't have this fear? But that fear isn't doing me any favors.
Even though I have let that fear hold me back, I can't let the guilt of it continue to do so. Again, don't be so hard on yourself. You might feel guilty, but just let that go and make the first step towards completing your goal.
For me, I really wanted to get my blog going. I want a space to share content: things from around the garden, edible "weeds", capsule wardrobes, outfit ideas, DIY projects, recipes, traveling adventures...
It's time for me to jump in and do it! No more fear, no more guilt, it's time to get this going!
I want to finish with a little mantra that Jodie Fox ends all her YouTube videos with: side note, Jodie is one of the co-founders of Shoes of Prey, a website that allows you to design your own shoes! She recently started a YouTube channel talking about her story, advice on how to start a businesses, and other cool things. At the end of all of her videos, she has a little saying that really hits home for me, and one that I really want to apply more to my life and to this blog:
"Do everything before you're ready."
And p.s. this isn't sponsored in any way, shape or form, but I just really like her quote and wanted to give credit where credit was due :)
